I have just ordered a Kubota L3010 with LA481 loader. I want to have some tyhpe of attachement to the loader so that I can pick up logs, etc. I have seen a Kubota loader with steel rods attached inside the loader. I don't like the looks of the manufactured "fork type attachments" that I have seen. Any ideas for attaching two metal rods(protruding out approximately 24 inches), steel, etc. to the loader. Also, does anyone make a brush fork type attachments that would fit where the loader fits? I'm a stark newbie. Thanks for any info.

I also wish to pick up logs using a fork attachment. I've been using the "V" made by the arm/bucket to carry onelog about, but it would be nice to move several w/out themrolling about -- the loader + fork would work great.I'd also like to be able to attach a single person platformto the forks, for use in painting, caulking, etc.The height of the loader, plus me would mean I could do thesejobs faster than a ladder.Thoughts/ideas? ....

I welded two brackets on the inside surface of the end walls of my bucket.I bent them out of 1/8"by 2" steel strap. The two "forks" slide through thesebrackets and butt against the back inner surface of the bucket. The bracket isangled to allow the "fork" to rest on the forward edge of the bucket as itprojects outward. There is sufficient wedging action and friction so that these stay rigidly in place. Myforks are 1.5" x 4" x 1/8" wall rectangular tubing (steel). The brackets hold them with the narrow edges up and down because this is much the strongerorientation and more stable too. The downside is that this rig is not adjustablefor width. The upside is that it carries logs and brush just fine, and the steelrectangular tubing is not even necessary. If I don't have them along, a couple of short and stout wooden 2x4s will also fit and work in a pinch. For a lightweight rig don't even weld the brackets, just bend some feet on themand bolt 'em in. I ended up reinforcing mine because they are also a handy placeto hook a chain when carrying a load too big to fit all the way into the bucket. Roger L. ....

h and j distributers, 3411 10th st or po box 1787, great bend ks 67530 or 316.793.5550. they can get manuals for all the old case tractors that were bought out by ingersoll. i have bought manuals from them and they are reliable, they claim to be able to still get all the old parts but i havent bought any from them yet ....
